From our experience over the last six years, whilst processing millions of responses in some of the largest surveys done in the UK, we believe the Likert scale (1-10, 1-7, 1-5) to be a less effective way to get people to express themselves. We feel the same way about rating and ranking questions.
After all, one person’s six is another person’s 3. Not as objective as it’s made out to be by other survey tools.
And so we don’t offer it.
However, we do allow you to change the minimum and maximum range labels on our multi slider questions to be whatever you like.
We do however offer a 1-10 scale for an NPS survey (which is a very well established survey methodology). Here’s a template for that one.
If numbers on a scale are important to you, you could try something like Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey which do allow you to do this. Here’s a blog post where we compare a whole bunch of alternative survey tools.
