We have literally no academic research to back this up but we believe the Likert scale (1-10, 1-7, 1-5) to be a terrible way to get people to express themselves.
After all, one person’s six is another person’s 3. Not as objective as it’s made out to be by other survey tools.
And so we don’t offer it.
However, we do allow you to change the minimum and maximum range labels on our multi slider questions to be whatever you like.
If you need a 1-10 scale for something like an NPS survey (which is a very well established survey methodology) then you can use a multiple choice question. Here’s a template for that one.
If numbers on a scale are important to you, you could try something like Qualtrics or SurveyMonkey which do allow you to do this. Here’s a blog post where we compare a whole bunch of alternative survey tools.
